I recently replaced my entire first level (appx 1300 sq ft) flooring. I had engineered hardwood that was 15 years old. We have 3 dogs and the hardwoods were faded in front of some windows from sunlight, scratched from claws, and buckled in a few spots around the dogs water bowls.
After looking at a half dozen brands and different materials we decided on this waterproof laminate. We have LVP in our finished and it’s great but does feel like plastic.
I got samples of this and actually submerged it underwater for a few days and I couldn’t even tell when I removed it. This stuff is very hard and thick. The core is a composite that seems to be very durable. Cutting it with a laminate cutter was tough but manageable. The locking mechanism locks tight and so far the joints don’t allow moisture down in them. I haven’t been able to scratch them yet and our large doodle runs on them. It’s only been 3 months but I feel like they will last a while.
My only issue is there are only 5 different designs so putting down that much was difficult making the layout not repeat. They should add a couple more to make it more random.
The photos below show the flooring in 2 different lighting. The first is at night in the kitchen, the last 2 are in full sunlight in front of a large window.

Came across Harper Floors while researching new flooring to put in basement. Conventional wisdom said use LVP, but I’m not a fan of this type material. After I ordered and received some samples, I was overly impressed with the quality of samples. The strength and thickness of the locking system, along with the fact that the flooring is waterproof up to a certain time limit, I was sold! I soaked 1 sample piece overnight in some water and didn’t notice any swelling. Was lucky that a sale was happening as well as free shipping. Purchased a little over 700 square feet and product arrived with only slight damage to 1 box on the top (planks were fine). Flooring went down surprisingly easy (no issues locking the planks together using a tapping block). Really like the wide plank look and the pattern was random enough to look natural. Will definitely be looking at more of this product when we replace the flooring in our 2nd floor.
